Roundtable: Art in Education to Empower Children
On December 5, the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation (IYMF) and the Liszt Institute Brussels hosted a roundtable discussion alongside MUS-E Hungary and MUS-E Belgium. The event spotlighted the transformative impact of the MUS-E® Programme in empowering children through art in education.
Marianne Poncelet, Vice Executive President of IYMF, took the opportunity to unveil the foundation’s latest annual report and introduced the European innovative GREEN TALES project, highlighting its role in promoting sustainability through creative storytelling.
Year-End Cultural Evening and Concert
On December 9, IYMF collaborated with Europa Nostra to present an unforgettable cultural evening at the iconic Royale Belge in Brussels. This grand celebration of European heritage, music, and creativity marked the perfect conclusion to the year.
Marianne Poncelet, Executive Vice President of IYMF, and Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović, Secretary General of Europa Nostra, co-hosted the event. Together, they welcomed Glenn Micallef, the newly appointed European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture, and Sport. Commissioner Micallef delivered an inspiring address emphasising the critical role of arts and culture in education and fostering social inclusion.
Guests also had the chance to explore the GREEN TALES project. Information leaflets displayed at the welcome desk offered insights into the project’s mission to merge art, sustainability, and education.
These events reflect IYMF’s ongoing commitment to using the arts as a catalyst for empowerment, inclusion, and cultural celebration across Europe.
